Using a digital dictation system (DDS) with workflow management
Voicepath has worked closely with its DDS partners to integrate our outsourced transcription service.

For many clients, we have set up a dedicated VPN link to facilitate the transfer of dictations and the safer return of finished documents to the client's chosen network location.

Document and case management systems
With a DDS, terminal services can be used to allow Voicepath transcriptionists to remotely access your existing network and type documents directly into your document/case management system. Established protocols ensure security is maintained when sessions are in process.
Using stand-alone digital recorder handsets - E-mail service
The Voicepath e-mail service allows you to create a dictation using your digital recorder and send a file for transcription using an e-mail application or internet e-mail account.
You can configure your dictation software and e-mail application to automatically send files to us once your dictation is complete. You will then receive an automated notification from us to let you know they have arrived. If you have a recorder that does not have the software to automatically send files to us you can simply attach your sound files to an e-mail and send them through to us.
We can use email encryption systems for greater security and confidentiality.
Philips, Olympus. Grundig and Sanyo digital recorders can all produce files that can be sent to Voicepath for transcription. The preferred file formats are .dss and .wav but we can also work with other file formats such as .mp3 and .wma. We are happy to discuss your specific requirements in terms of file formats.
Via telephone
Telephone dictations can be made on your landline or mobile phone. The telephone acts like a digital recorder and as the sound file is directly inserted into our in-house system, the telephone provides an easy and cost effective method of outsourcing.
