WinScribe, one of the world’s leading digital dictation developers and suppliers, today launches ‘360 Degrees’, an application which will significantly improve the convenience & reduce costs associated with outsourcing dictation transcription. As if being processed in-house, authors will now have complete control over their transcription, being able to easily track progress and level of completion at any time, ultimately improving workflow process and maximising investment.
Until now, sending work to an external provider for transcription required additional time and resource to manage both the internal and external workflow. Tracking information was limited, with the author only being notified that the item had been sent for transcription and not updated on progress in real-time, as with jobs done in-house. WinScribe identified the need for a seamless mechanism of outsourcing transcription work which required no change to their clients’ working practices.
Developed in conjunction with Voicepath, leading providers of UK based outsourced transcription, WinScribe’s 360 Degrees application technology, authors will be able to create and track dictations through the familiar WinScribe client application, whether being transcribed in-house or externally. 360 Degrees uses the latest .net technology from Microsoft which means that it can be used by any outsourced company without the need to purchase additional WinScribe software.
“Voicepath is the first to seamlessly integrate its service with the Winscribe system.” General manager, Richard Bate, comments: “The beauty of ‘full circle’ integration is that, to users, there is no operational difference between outsourcing work or keeping it in-house. For Voicepath, this is key to providing best value to users, who turn to our service to improve their efficiency or even out peaks and troughs in demand.
“This 360º integration also gives users added peace of mind, in that the progress of outsourced work can be tracked through the system as though it was being completed in house. They can also rely on fast turnaround, as we promise to complete and return transcriptions in around either an hour or 24 hours, depending on which level of service they require.”
Philip Vian, managing director of WinScribe Europe says. “For the first time WinScribe is delivering the ability to harness the financial and time benefits of outsourcing with seamless, secure, in-house control.”
