New operations manager for remote working specialist

22 May 2006

Voicepath, the legal outsourced transcription specialist, has appointed Pauline Connolly as its new operations manager.

Her appointment follows a period of rapid growth for the company, which supplies law firms across the UK with a fast, high quality document transcription service using a network of home-based typists situated throughout the UK. Pauline joins the company to manage the provision of an efficient, high quality and customer focused typing service in addition to growing and managing the remote workforce effectively.

Pauline has a formidable track record in managing remote workforces, having held a similar role at Primecare, a business which specialises in supplying healthcare professionals to police custody situations. Consequently, she is ideally placed to oversee the operational aspects of a business such as Voicepath, whose smooth-running depends on its ability to manage external resource.

Furthermore, with extensive experience in acting as the central liaison between remote workers and end users, she has a 360° view of how such services work and where they can be improved.

Pauline comments: “I see my role as enhancing an already successful company, which has grown rapidly, by implementing policies and procedures which will help it to continue growing appropriately. It’s a matter of formalising and streamlining practices Voicepath already undertake, whilst retaining a vision for the future. Then, once this model of best practice is in place as a company we will be better able to monitor our performance, identifying ways to implement continuous improvements.

“Personally, the best thing about joining Voicepath is that it’s a dynamic, young and growing company which is naturally receptive to new ideas and ways of working. With a culture of innovation already in place it is much easier to see the benefits of change quickly.”

Voicepath general manager Richard Bate concludes: “We are delighted to welcome Pauline and look forward to feeling the positive effects of her experience very soon. Ensuring that we stay efficient and customer-focused as we grow is integral to our long-term success and we hope Pauline will play a large part in making this happen.”

Pauline, 40, lives in Burbage Leicestershire and received an MBA from Coventry University in 2002. Outside of work she enjoys looking after her three daughters, keeping fit and socialising.
