Voicepath, a leading supplier of digital dictation and transcription solutions, today announced that it has purchased the Leamington based translation and interpreting business, COMTEC Translations. Founded in 1981 COMTEC has built its reputation on the quality of its services and is one of the first companies in the UK to have been accredited with ISO9002 quality approval.
Kerry Payne, managing director of Voicepath remarks, "translation was always a natural progression for Voicepath and the acquisition of Comtec ensures that we can offer firms a solution for their complete dictation and transcription requirements, regardless of the language. Taking advantage of our current infrastructure and methodology we can now provide customers with access to a fast and accurate turnaround of translations."
The two businesses will initially run side by side but both will eventually trade under the Voicepath brand. Isabella Moore, founder of COMTEC, was recently made National President of the British Chambers of Commerce and is the first woman to have held this position in the organisation's 150-year history. Ms Moore will be remaining with Voicepath to oversee the development of the translation business.
